With over 20 years of experience specializing in the head gasket area, I have seen it all. I do the exact same work that I have done at the garages I worked for but my prices are about half of theirs. You can find people with lower prices than mine but you need to ask a few questions....... what exactly are they doing?

Here is what I do: Remove all debri from inside the engine and clean all ports. I replace the head gaskets, head bolts, valve guides, intake gaskets, clean the fuel injectors and replace the injector o-rings, replace plenum gasket, EGR gasket, replace the thermostat and gasket, torque all bolts to exact specs, flush the cooling system and refill with antifreeze, flush the engine and finish with an oil change. During all of this, I am searching for the reason the vehicle overheated in the first place. Sometimes it's the thermostat, or the water pump or a cooling fan is not turning on. Do you really want to pay for this major repair just to have it happen again?

What they do: Replace the head gasket. Sometimes with the same head gasket and a bunch of sealant, because proper gaskets are expensive. Top off the radiator with water. Maybe change the oil but not the filter. Use the same head bolts which are only supposed to be used once. This might seem less expensive but is it really less expensive if it doesn't work?

Make the right call........... I will give you an exact price (not a quote). I want you to know up front it might need a water pump or a cooling fan switch. Most of my business is by referral for a reason!
