Objective
The Program Manager will be stationed on-site at client location to develop and maintain productive client relationships through professional services by managing all aspects of the testing, inspection, and/or consulting services provided to the client.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain productive client relationships through professional services by managing all aspects of the testing, inspection, and/or consulting services provided to the client.
* Provide technical expertise to clients in areas of global compliance, industry standards, and client specifications through technical opinions, interpretations and recommendations.
* Serve as liaison between merchants, vendors, agents, product development and client Quality Assurance.
* Define with client their compliance, safety and quality testing approaches relating to consumer products.
* Serve as liaison between the client and other global Consumer Product Services (CPS) departments (Sales/Marketing, Information Resources Center, Operational Staff, Information Technology and Accounting).
* Serve as primary contact for assigned clients and maintain a successful client relationship.
* Develop an understanding of clients needs and expectations and assist in matching them to CPS technical services, capabilities, and internal Quality Assurance technical resources.
* Liaise, as necessary, with regulatory/industry/professional bodies to provide solutions and expertise in areas of global compliance, industry standards, and client specifications.
* Successfully handle day-to-day client requests including test report review (for rating and accuracy), invoice processing, data/report generation, problems, issues, and complaints.
* Coordinates schedules while serving as the global internal and external liaison for all submissions requiring testing or evaluations to be performed by global testing locations.
* Monitor CPD performance in relation to defined services.
* Provide back-up assistance for other program management staff, as required.
Required Skills:
* Understands scheduling, planning and the product development cycle
* Strong working knowledge of softlines/textiles and hardlines/hard goods in terms of product development, product sourcing, quality and applicable test standards/regulations highly desired.
* Able to interpret technical information and translate into common terminology.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* Strong analytical, problem solving, attention to detail and process improvement skills.
* Must possess strong work ethic and excellent client service skills to ensure effective, responsive client interaction (internal and external).
* Able to work well under pressure to handle crisis situations and balance several tasks simultaneously.
* Performs with sense of urgency and sensitivity to deadlines.
* Able to prioritize, delegate tasks to appropriate staff and perform required follow up.
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
* Must be confident, highly efficient, and self-motivated.
* Must be personable and work well independently, as well as in a team environment.
* Able to anticipate/identify problems before they arise.
Required Experience / Education
* One to three years of retail sourcing, product development, product / lab testing, or program management experience
* Business, Engineering or other 4 year degree
