]]>1. Money - We are playing original rock, so that means some gigs pay nothing. Others pay. We try to find shows that will pay (sometimes we get paid from the door) , but you know that it's harder for original music. If you need to make a hundred bucks every weekend, you should find another band. We all have full time jobs, and you should, too. Getting paid is cool, but I can't guarantee it.
2. Harmonies - Most of the songs are written and performed by a male lead vocal. The female voice is for harmony, backups and sometimes lead. If you write music (and lyrics) then we'll gladly listen and try to work with you on songs that you want to sing lead. But I don't want to mislead you, this isn't a front "female" band. If you play an instrument, that's great, but not necessary. If you write music or lyrics, that's great, but not necessary.
3. Gigs - You'll have the opportunity to play in North Texas and possibly adjacent states - any travel will be done on a weekend - though we rarely travel. Mostly we are trying to build on and excite the people we've met around Dallas. But if the right show comes up in Tulsa, we ride. I realize you have commitments and a schedule to plan, so we'll do this very carefully. we normally play one or two shows a month.
4. Age - We are all grown up - over 40. Your age isn't terribly important. Your voice and attitude are very important.
5. Expenses - We have a practice space and recording studio in Garland, TX. You don't have to help pay for anything; practice space or studio recording time. We can practice or record with some flexibility, if there is something special you want to work on. Otherwise, we practice about once a week. We've got the PA systems, light show and trailer covered. Whatever we earn from the shows is split evenly and it's yours.
6. Reliable - You need to be very reliable, but can be a show off. We are running a great band and have been working together for a couple of years. You are joining a serious team that hopes to write, record and perform great music. I don't care if you are crazy as hell onstage - offstage you should be serious about music. 7. Computer literacy - You need to have email, use it daily, it's best if you have a Facebook and wil help promote shows.
