Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas seeks dynamic, self-motivated, and committed Urban Life Skills Development Specialist in our Community Programs Department. Specialist will effectively deliver programs designed to encourage, empower, and equip junior high school girls with the tools necessary to succeed academically and in life. These positions involve direct service to junior high girls in a junior high school setting, and addresses current social issues and trends affecting girls during what many would characterize as the most confusing time of their childhood.
Community Programs are Girl Scout programs specifically designed for girls in communities where traditional troops are difficult to develop due to various socio-economic barriers.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
• SOME COLLEGE, WITH A RELATED MAJOR
• RELATED PROFESSIONAL OR VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
• MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
• GENUINE CONCERN FOR THE FUTURE AND WELL-BEING OF GIRLS THAT HAVE VARIOUS SOCIO-ECONOMIC BARRIERS
DETAILS:
• $9-$10 PER HOUR
• 15-25 PER WEEK
• MONDAY THRU THURSDAY, 8AM-4PM
