Administers a portfolio of real estate owned assets to ensure a maximum collection is achieved by listing, negotiating and selling residential real estate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Manages a portfolio of REO assets as assigned within approved delegations.
2. Markets, liquidates, and maintains real property after foreclosure or deed in lieu process to ensure maximum financial recovery of the outstanding balance.
3. Prepares and recommends a strategic marketing plan and administers until the asset is sold.
4. Authorizes expenses to maintain or repair real property assets within prescribed budgets.
5. Answers questions from third parties regarding the REO portfolio.
6. Negotiates offers on seller’s behalf within approved delegations.
7. Performs property valuation using approved techniques.

Qualifications:

GENERAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Advanced knowledge of real estate industry.
2. Proficient knowledge of personal computers using Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook.
3. Ability to learn and operate in-house computer systems and a variety of vendor software applications.
4. Skill to type 50 words per minute.
5. 10-key calculator.
6. Ability to operate general office equipment (photocopier, fax, etc.).
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to details.
8. Organizational skills.
9. Ability to supervise staff.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

1. Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, peers, and management through written and verbal communication.
2. Ability to communicate with customers, internal departments, and other outside parties in a professional manner.
3. Ability to communicate with the real estate and legal professions in a proficient manner.
4. Ability to motivate, coach, and train staff.
5. Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems in a tactful manner.
6. Negotiation skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of Real Estate Practices, Law & Finance
3. Two years asset management or related experience listing or selling property or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
