We are currently seeking a LEED Commissioning Agent for a new role to support the implementation of Commissioning activities for LEED Volume Certification to support client New Store Program. This is a home-office based position which could be located in any of the following cities: Phoenix, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle.
LEED COMMISSIONING AGENT - Phoenix, AZ
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the LEED Commissioning Program Lead (CxL) and perform the following commissioning (Cx) processes for client LEED for New Stores Volume Certification program:
- Perform the Mid Construction Visit (MCV) (travel to job site)
- Complete the MCV Checklist while on site with GC and subs
- Create MCV Issues Log and issue to General Contractor (GC), Project
- Manager (PjM), Implementation Architect (IA)
- Follow up on resolution of issues on the Issues Log with GC, PjM, and IA
- Communicate unresolved issues to CxL
- Witness the Functional Tests (FT) (travel to job site)
- Witness Functional Tests being performed by GC and subs
- Create FT Issues Log and issue to GC and subs
- Follow up on resolution to issues with (GC) and Implementation
- Architect (IA)
- Communicate unresolved issues with CxL
- Prepare the Cx Report for the project
- Prepare the LEED Cx Memo
- Prepare the Re-Commissioning (ReCx) Manual for the project
- Perform the Post-Occupancy Visit (POV) (travel to job site)
- Perform POV with Bank Center Manager (BCM), Property Manager (PM)
- and Mobile Support (MS)
- Create POV Issues Log for coordination with PM
- Issue POV Issues Log to GC and PjM if warranty issues are involved
- Follow up on resolution to issues with (GC) and Implementation
- Architect (IA)
- Communicate unresolved issues with CxL
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering technology is strongly preferred; other technical training, past commissioning, and field experience will be considered
- LEED Accredited Professional accreditation preferred but not required
- 5-8 years experience in HVAC systems operation
- Familiarity with lighting controls and electric domestic hot water heaters
- Experience with Construction Management principles
- Familiar with LEED and the relevance of commissioning within the rating system
- Technically adept in architectural and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawing interpretation
- Minimum of 50% travel required to perform site visits to client centers during the commissioning process.
