Retail Sales Associate for Dog Store (Dallas, TX)
About us: We are a small, specialized dog store focusing on high quality food, treats, beds, toys, collars and leashes. The owner works in the store and creates a fun environment in which she and the staff build a personal relationship with the customers. Our customers are highly educated and discerning shoppers and want the best for their dogs. We are successful because of our focus on customer service. We go above and beyond what the customer expects.
Duties:
• Answer customer questions about nutrition, both in person and by phone
• Be accountable for cash during sales transactions and in opening/closing of cash registers daily
• Perform merchandising and stocking inventory; assist with seasonal decorating on the sales floor
• Interact with dogs and children
Requirements:
• EXCELLENT interpersonal and CUSTOMER SERVICE skills, both in person and by phone
• Minimum of six (6) months experience in a RETAIL store environment
• Must have a strong work ethic and high level of integrity with an excellent attendance record
• Must be able to work 11 to 5 at least 2 days per week and most Saturdays 10 to 6
• Proven ability to work well within a team or individual environment
• Computer skills to include operation of retail point of sale system and email.
• Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move objects weighing up to 35 pounds and use ladders or stairs.
