WHITE ROCK LAKE WEEKLY is the free, family-friendly newspaper that serves the readers and businesses in the areas around White Rock Lake: North, East, West and South. The newspaper is placed in more than 500 local businesses, libraries, waiting rooms, etc. for free pick-up by their patrons.
Many local writers have asked to contribute stories and story ideas on diverse topics which they think should be in the paper. We’ve decided to open our door to all you local freelance talent with the following offer…
1. If you have the passion, the knowledge and the skill to write about a particular subject of interest for our readers in the White Rock Lake area…
2. If you’re in a position to contribute your writing in exchange for your own byline and access as “press” to many local events – and some, but not much, money (which will increase over time)…
3. If you’re very responsible about deadlines, accuracy and our paper’s service to the community…
you are invited to apply for a spot as a freelance contributing writer for our newspaper.
