Stay informed concerning new technology and equipment, and investigates their potential applications. Recommend incorporation of new technology for both new and existing products where feasible and practical.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Requirements
� MS Mechanical Engineering is ideal, or BS Mechanical Engineering + commensurate experience
� 5 yrs engineering experience; 3 - 5 yrs in the design of HVAC projects (chilled water, hot water, steam); STEAM EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY DESIRED

Work Experience & Skills Required:
Engineering degree with 10 yrs of experience within a refining, chemical, or heavy industrial environment.
Knowledge and experience related to pressure vessels, piping, exchangers, and the factors that affect the reliability of fixed equipment.
Experience applying ASME/API/NBIC codes and code calculations relating to alterations/repairs.

Education preferred:
B.S. in Mechanical, Civil, Reliability, or Chemical/Petroleum Engineering

Work Experience & Skills Preferred:
Exposure to Root Cause Failure Analysis, Risk Based Inspection,Reliability Centered Maintenance and Reliability Analysis
Knowledge of fitness-for-service principles as outlined in API 579.
