White Directory Publishers is a subsidiary of Hearst Publishing and provides telephone directories to businesses and residences in select markets throughout Texas as well as 15 other states. Looking for applicants for delivery beginning 4 January 2010 in the Mineral Wells, Graham, Olney, Breckenridge Jacksboro areas.
We use independent contractors to complete the delivery of our product to each business and residence within the established boundaries of each market. Independent contractors are paid directly by check. Payments are based on a per book established fee which varies by market. This market will pay from 22 cents to 25 cents per book delivered. This rate is based on size of book, geographic coverage areas and current operating expenses (gas prices). We do not collect taxes from payments and no income is reported until the amount exceeds $600.
APPLICATION PROCESS: Applicants will be phone screened and will be required to attend a 30 minute orientation prior to starting to deliver. At the orientation we will verify citizenship (SSN card), drivers license and insurance on your vehicle you will use for delivery. Qualified applicants will sign a 30 day contract and will be eligible to start delivery immediately.
DELIVERY PROCESS: Contractors will be assigned a route (based on current postal routes). We will provide all necessary materials and information needed to successfully complete the delivery. Contractors will then load phone books into their vehicle, proceed to the designated area and deliver our product as required. Contractors will keep track via documentation/maps provided of which streets/roads have been delivered, how many directories were delivered and return all the documentation to the regional manager. Once routes are turned in they will be handed over for verification. Verification will ensure product was properly delivered and received. This is accomplished via physical auditing as well as phone audits to recipients. If verification comes back positive, route is processed for payment. If verification is negative, contractor is given one opportunity to correct problems.
DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: Every book delivered must be bagged (bags provided), and delivered to the porch of every residence. If the residence is more than 300 ft from main road, bagged book may be left at the foot of the mailbox. At no time can books be thrown from a moving vehicle. Businesses are delivered unbagged to the owner/manager of the business. We do not deliver in rain or snow as books must be received undamaged. We will provide you with books, bags, maps of the area to be delivered, addresses to be delivered and requirements as stated here governing delivery.

F.A.Q�s:
How much can I make per day? Varies from contractor to contractor. Rates are designed so average contractor will clear $10 to $16 per hour after expenses. Routes are based on what the mailman delivers in one 8 hour day. It will take our drivers anywhere from 8 hours to 16 hours to complete a route. Contractors can complete multiple routes as long as verification remains within standards.
What are working hours? You establish your own working hours. Delivery can be legally made from 8AM to 9PM daily.
Do I use my own vehicle and pay for my own gas ? Yes
When do I get paid? Routes turned in by Thursday are paid the following Friday. Last payment will be mailed directly. Routes failing verification are not paid unless contractor has fixed all problems.

There is a substantial amount of physical labor involved, from loading books to extensive walking on the routes. Everything is verified and monitored. This is a short term contract and an easy way to supplement income, but is not a position that offers any benefits or long term earning potential.

Support Crew for Med Device Repair (Ft Worth Area)

Our company has a unique Project that will require some on-site team support for our Medical Device Repair Techs.
This assignment starts MONDAY 12/14/09.

The task itself is relatively simple but requires a resource that understands the challenges of working in a medical environment. The position will be as an Independent Contractor as the project is temporary. It is expected that the 1st assignment will last between 1-2weeks and there will be additional assignments in the near future. Each resource will be paid by the hour at the rate of $14.00 per hour

The position is called a "Runner" and will be responsible for gathering medical devices, cleaning them, and delivering them to the assigned �Tech Work Area�, then delivering repaired Medical Devices back to points within the Hospital (or medical facility).

Assignments will typically be Monday through Friday and the facilities you are dispatched to could have up to 1,500 units to be corrected so, you may be dispatched at a specific location for a couple of weeks. Runners will check in with us upon arrival each day and upon departure each day. Runners will work as part of a larger crew including some employees of the customer.

Must have reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, vehicle insurance and social security card. Distribution will be based in Mineral Wells and will start 4 Jan 2010 and run for approximately 2 weeks. This is a short term independent contractor situation with no benefits or any employee association implied or extended. Contractors must be available for entire distribution period.
Work is physically demanding (loading phone books and walking books to porch of each residence). There is a considerable amount of walking involved. Current contractors average $10 to $16 per hour per person per day after expenses.
