Email Campaign Specialist, Ecommerce Marketing
Works under the direction of the Ecommerce Marketing Manager to manage and produce a variety of email marketing campaigns. Acts as the subject matter expert for all email marketing within the company and keeps up on the latest tools, trends and techniques in email marketing.
This individual will work closely with Product Management to gather information and produce email marketing communications. The candidate should have knowledge about marketing the product information in creative and compelling ways. The position is required to create targeted emails including product-oriented, customer retention and special opportunity campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Produces 1-3 marketing email campaigns per week
- Develops segmented email campaigns in coordination with Product Management to identify products to be included in emails
- Writes and edits copy for email marketing campaigns
- Works closely with Web Designers to design the email marketing templates and customized email marketing campaigns
- Works with Inventory Control and Content teams to ensure that products being featured have the appropriate stock and product information available
- Tests all emails prior to delivery to ensure a positive customer experience
- Manages in-house email list and works in coordination with others to increase the number of subscribers
- Uses web analytics to gather information on the performance of email marketing campaigns and report back to management and other stakeholders
- Identifies further opportunities to leverage email marketing to drive visitors and revenue on the customer facing website
- Solid understanding of government regulations on email marketing
- Should have experience with email marketing software technology, such as: Campaigner.com, Exact Target, Constant Contact or Eloqua.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology or related area
- At least 2+ total years of internet marketing
- At least 1+ years of email marketing
- At least 1+ years of web analytics
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize and deploy marketing campaigns with limited oversight
- Beginner to Intermediate understanding of HTML
- Comfortable using web analytics tools to analyze and make recommendations regarding email marketing campaigns
