10 Late Night Thoughts About My Search For Passion (Dallas) 28yr

1. It's absolutely amazing what boredom will do. After spending months of late nights at work reading through these postings for pure entertainment, one long weekend of being stuck in the office has driven me to dive headfirst into the posting pool. I'm a little nervous about the idea, but at the same time...extremely excited. (Ok, more than a little nervous, but here goes...)

2. I don't think age is just a number...but it's for that very reason that I love am attracted to women a few years older (late 20's and Up) We are all a product of our experiences and a woman with a few more years than me has surely had more than I have. And as cliched as it sounds, I am extremely attracted to women who knows what she likes, feels comfortable expressing it, and sees nothing to be gained from making her partner guess.

3. I think that women of all ages / shapes / sizes / colors can be attractive. I don't have a specific vision in my head, there are so many things I look for in a women it would be impossible! I find humor to be a huge aphrodisiac and could never be with anyone incapable of laughing at herself (and me...I'm a big fan of self-deprecating humor) I want to meet someone I will feel comfortable around, someone I will want to spend time with, someone that I will enjoy e-mailing. It's not just about the picture, it's about the witty e-mail that comes with it!

4. I've complained about this plenty of times before but I'm going to complain about it one more time. The "What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas" Ad campaign has thrown a huge wrench in Vegas plans with my friends! Could there be a worse tagline when it comes to guys trying to convince people that they're really just going to gamble. I was supposed to go out there with a few friends next week but one of their girlfriends couldn't get over the thought that "what happened in Vegas would stay in Vegas" and whatever happened would probably be sketchy. Why couldn't the Las Vegas Convention Bureau have just gone with "Vegas Baby!" on their commercials. (Ok, I know this has nothing to do with anything, I need a #4.)

5. Isn't it funny how everyone here is a first time poster or responder. I'm not exactly either, but I'm pretty damn close. Plus -- I'm more than willing to make up a story about how we met on the t for any of our friends who bump into us out on the town...

6. Just like it's everyone's first time posting/responding everyone also seems to be 6'2", 200 dark and handsome. After seeing all the irish people (or at least those willing to pretend they were Irish) on St Patrick's Day I feel like my 5'10" and 160 lbs of American male should go far! There have to be a plethora of women out there who love guys with brown hair and dark eyes! Especially guys who played sports in college and have kept themselves in pretty good shape since then.

7. Women in Business Suits, SOOOO Sexy. Plus, I'm a firm believer that there's nothing hotter than long linen tablecloths, a beautiful date in a skirt, and chairs next to each other at the table...

8. I think taking sex seriously is sexy. No Sex on first date is preferred. Sex on the first date... Well, we'll leave it to us grownups to decide :-) After three consecutive long term relationships, I find myself able to count my partners on one hand and think it's fantastic if my partner can too. That being said, I've come to recognize that everyone views sex a different way and if it meant something to you at the time who is anyone else to judge?

10. I continue to be amazed by the fact that some of the most upfront and honest people I meet are found in bars and online. I think what made me finally post here was the fact I really like the way in which this medium allows you to get to know someone well before meeting them in person. I'm an open book.

So you've made it to the bottom! I hope I managed to provide a little amusement while making my case. Now that you've put in this much time already you might as well take 5 more minutes and write to me.

I do lots of interesting things, like scuba diving, geocaching (basically a worldwide scavenger hunt), playing on the lake, fishing, going out to just drive and feel the wind blow, look at stars, play video games, but my favorite is just watching all my downloaded movies/tv shows with someone and cuddling.
I have a car and am a very stable person, with a full time job while I'm at TCC.

I eat out a lot, have a huge DVD collection (at least 400 movies not counting collections), read voraciously (Graphic Novels, Fact, Fiction, etc...last four books were World War Z, Collapse, Super-freakonomics, Predictably Irrational), surf the internet, and play Amtgard. Amtgard is my excuse for leaving the house on weekends dressed in funny clothes (see below), so I can "explain" to twenty-somethings that youth and enthusiasm is no match for age and experience. (Kinda like Paintball with padded sticks instead of guns).
