Please let me set the tone for what I have in mind.

I am looking to do culinary services (cooking) for a professional business person, man or woman who has
a nice home/condo/apartment that has an extra room for me. I have furniture, but if you do, I can put
mine into storage.

I will take care of the daily cooking, keeping the kitching in good form, doing the shopping for groceries,
pantry upkeep, etc.

Also, I don't mind helping you host a party once a month if you like to or need to bring associates
to the house. I myself, am a professional too. I'm not someone to walk on, or to mistreat condescendingly.
I just want to make a deal with a nice person who has a nice abode. I'm older man, and at this time
in life, I'd rather not have to go through buying another house, not right now.

By the same token, you may be tired of eating in expensive hotels paying a ton for what I
can cook at home. Sure, eat out if you like, but not because you are hungry and don't have a
better situation at the house. I generally am at home. So I can take care of a few other things.

If you travel a lot, I can sit the house, since I'm there anyhow. I can tell you what mail you
had come in, or take care of pressing issues. I can pay the utilities, etc, etc., when they come
in the mail, as you have probably forgotten them before and came home to a dark house! lol
I can make sure the lawn people maintain the yard.

(I don't do dog/cat or other furry animals, and I cannot live where they live due to allergies)
Birds seem to be okay, though I've never lived with birds the size of people or dogs so I
don't know about how they might affect me. I'm in excellent health otherwise. I just sneeze
a lot around dogs/cats and cheap furs. lol hint hint. lol (ahem sorry)

Anyway, I'm in my 60's. I have a check monthly, which is small but meets a few needs;
but God forbid if you want to throw in a few dollars. I play poker, dominoes, checkers,
bid wisk (whisk), chess horribly, sub-beginner level lol), Pnuk, spades, hearts, bridge,
shoot pool well. I know how to run a washer/dryer, vacuum cleaner, I can learn how to
use a carpet cleaner, or call one of my buds in the prof cleaning business.

Post office runs okay. I don't do ANYthing wrong, no bad things, okay? Don't even
think about it. lol I dress in a business suit, and don shorts when I'm off. I wear casual
around the house. I'm very, very quiet. Quiet is good. You cannot hear the tv inmy
room, you don't hear any music I play. I'm quiet. Also did I meantion, that I'm quiet?

I do not have visitors as a rule. Occasionally, I ''might'' be visited by a child, but
since that hasn't happened in 10 years, I doubt it. I see my friends generally away
from the house. I have just a couple. I'm not married, not gay, don't usually date.
Been there done that... to much trouble. Besides, dating makes men broke.

Í'm opinionated, but keep them to myself unless asked. Don't wanna know?
Just don't ask. lol I would rather work for a 'straight' person, as I just don't want
to go through various mentalities unnecessarily. I've never been into that kind
of thing, not looking to find out. Don't hate/dislike people, just don't wanna
be one of them. That being said, no need for me to fraternize with that lifestyle
and no disrespect out of the ordinary to anybody. Non-condonance does NOT
mean disrespect anyway. Just means I ain't in it.

I mentioned that because men kept answering my ad when I last ran one,
saying,"they were lonely and a good cook would be a real treat." So I'm just
trying to ward off any such responses today. Not interested in men, or even
in women for relationship. I want to cook, in full exchange for a room in
exchange for my cooking services.

And I already have an agreement that we can sign so that it cannot be
misconstrued as a work agreement. Although I 'am' a home-grown citizen.

If you have someone there who is hispanic, I also speak near-fluent Spanish.
I'm black. Very nice man.

So if you've been considering having some nice old guy cook wonderful
meals to keep your health up and your budget DOWN... you'll want me.
I don't bs or anything either. I'm not like a lot of black guys who bs all
of the time, I'm serious in a friendly-professional sort of way.

Also, I'm a highly skilled, accomplished cook. I was trained in the restaurant
business owned by my mother as a youth and worked for other restaurants
before eventually finishing education, going into the military, and persuing
a singing career for a while.

I'm older now, and happy to sit down, somewhat. I still have a band and we
play on occasion to make a buck or two. Other than that, you have my
attention on this matter.

Let me say that I have NO motives, ulterior or otherwise. Just a room for
cooking the meals. This can be on a 1 year trial, or if you want to make
it longer, fine.

If you are an OLDER COUPLE, say in your 70's and not bed-ridden,
with any contagious or otherwise illnesses, as I don't do home care or
elder care. I took care of MY mother for years, and I don't want to take
care of YOURs... lol. I want to be independent of that, just do the meals.
Also if they have any kind of diseases, I won't be interested. I'm in great
health and don't want to catch anything. I say that because I've had
a few children of people like that trying to coax me into going into that
kind of situation jeopardizing my health. It was wrong for them to even
ask me to do that. Why would I want to become terminal, unless I
already was... then I could see it. lol

In my ad, I said Dallas/Mid-Cities, but it really doesn't matter where
you are, hopefully in Dallas so I don't have to get rid of my band.
Took me 7 months to get them ready to play. We just do neighborhood
gigs is all. We are quiet musicians not into any trouble. Just entertainment.

I prefer non-smoking home. Non-drug home. Okay?

Would you like to learn to Oil Paint? I can teach you as I was an artist.
Like to learn Spanish? I can teach you. This way you could pay me
a monthly allowance, lolol... or not. ;-/ I can also offer office support
services, for which you could pay me, and I could cook, and you eat free.

I am a culinary expert, raised in restaurant business, looking to exchange room/board for meal preparations

for a healthy (non-smoking/non-drug using professional) person who does NOT have animals; someone who

can appreciate a gent that can cook and run the house. You need to be straight, have cable TV, internet,

a wine bar with sauvignon would be a plus, nice lawns, a back patio perhaps and like classical jazz/blues,

and a quiet abode.


If you eat the majority of your meals in classy restaurants, I can reduce your food budget to pennies

by comparison; and if you are eating at McD's, I can have you eating like you 'were' in fancy restaurants

on the money you blow on burger/fries because you're 'paying' for good meals, just not getting them.

Well-balanced, very good tasting meals daily, an occasional dessert, keeping weight in mind.

If you want to 'lose' a few pounds, I can prepare those type meals, with taste not lacking.


The preference would be someone (male or female) not hurting for money, but then who isn't?

The kitchen would be a full responsibility, shopping for groceries and house articles, making

Don't worry, not looking for a friend, but if you need companship (platonic only) that's okay,

as life can be somewhat boring. I play most all card games, dominoes, terrible chess, shoot

a good game of pool. I have a pool table if you have room for it, and a 46" inch Projection

TV (ditto) that I was going to sell. I can bring or sell them.


I have furniture, or can use what is there and put mine into storage. Okay age-wise, I'm an

older gent, educated and kind-hearted. I prefer to chef for someone respectful, giving

and sensitive to others' needs. A retired businessperson, a philanthropist, inventor,

small-time movie producer, artist with a gallery, a retired executive secretary, or ceo,

perhaps someone who has had a great life, but can't cook? A divorcee? Someone who can

appreciate good meals. No need to suffer, no need to spend a ton of money, just share a

room for about 12 months and you'll eat like a king or queen whichever you are.


Although I'm a well-dressed, quality person with no criminal background, I'm not lifted up in pride.

Just getting older, not in the workforce anymore, so I'm using my God-given talents just for having

a nice room/board, and helping you.

Also, due to mistakes in my past I am required to report my place of residence to the local police, so if that will be a problem please do not respond.
This also means that I am unable to rent apartments, so please to not respond if you are trying to sublet a room in an apartment, as the management will not allow me to move in.

I am currently in the area working through the week and have a wife and kids living at my home 2 1/2 hours south of the DFW area. It would only be me renting the room. I do not smoke, I have no pets nor do I have a criminal history of any kind! I work an evening shift (2-10pm) and would only occupy a room Monday night through Thursday night as I will be going home to the family during the weekends.

My weekend schedule would be as follows:

I would leave the room Friday morning/early afternoon to go to work.
After work I would head directly south I would not come back to the room.
Monday morning I would drive directly from my home down south to work and then would be back at the room Monday night sometime after 10pm.

I am not real picky but I don't want to rent a room in a crack house either. The room can be furnished or unfurnished. I will not need to use a washer or dryer as I will do my laundry at my house over the weekend. During the weekend I would not leave any personal belongings in the room. In summary I am looking for a room for 4 nights a week that has electricity, a/c, heat and access to a bathroom with a toilet and a shower. I am a "little" flexable with the rent price but nothing crazy please.
