We made fairly lengthy eye-contact right when I walked in and both smiled. Your friend demanded your attention and you looked away. A slightly flushed me took a few minutes to browse out of sight and collect myself before spending the next 20 minutes finding out-of-place comics and putting them back where they belong directly behind you -- too shy to say anything and sure you would anyway. I was wrong, and I'm kicking myself now. Your friend makes fun of douchebag in a Slipnot hat, dirty black shirt and shredded black pants as he does his walk of shame after I shoot him down. You smile and laugh half-heartedly just as I get a call and my ringtone piques your interest. "Easily my favorite All That Remains song. I love how that just happened." You comment to your friend as I find out I am now late and have to haul balls to a prior engagement. As I head for the door, I look over at you one last time and mumble "Me too."
