WHAT: 22nd Annual party for the POOR & HOMELESS: food, fun, clothes, Christmas tree decorating for the children, games, Karaoke, caroling, clowns, entertainers.

ALSO: The children will decorate tree/s that are "gifted" each year to poor families. (Arboles decorados se daran.)

Our guests come from the Arlington Life Shelter, Mission Metroplex, The Salvation Army etc. streets and we pick them up every Christmas day. About 50 wonderful volunteers help host this event. We have an average of 200 guests each year.
IN MEMORIAM: This year's event is especially dedicated to: (1) All those who have been victims of crimes from resulting from bulling in and around our nation’s schools, Columbine HS CO, Virginia Tech, Bowie HS Arlington, Jena LA for example this year’s Omaha Nebraska Westroads Mall. (2) Vince Otterbine.
We welcome "you" to be part of this year’s (2009) charitable "GIFT" to the poor. Yearly you’re welcome to come and see (first hand) your contribution bring a smile or a sigh to those whom we serve once a year for almost two decades. It is reported that more people die on Christmas day than any other of the year. BLESS YOU for your support, dedication and sacrifice.

Your help is especially needed during January through June of a legislative year, which falls every odd numbered year in Texas (ie: 2009). During this time, we need you to phone your legislators, mail letters, help with fund raising, assist in legal research, and join us at the Capitol to lobby the legislature.
During the off years, THLN works to determine the animal protection issues to be pursued in the next session. With your assistance, we can educate more people about abuse and neglect plus advocate for those without a voice between legislative sessions.
