The HiFi Collective (LINK HERE) is in search of a rhythm gtr player with posible backup vocal ability. We are an indie rock band with a groove. We are influencedby bands like Radiohead, U2 to 311, Death Cab For Cutie, Kings of Leon, Chili Peppers and everything inbetween. We have a good sample of what we do on our Myspace page.

We are looking to free up the frontman to do his thing. We practice once a week (Sundays) and play out about 1 or 2 times a month.

-Looking for someone who is a solid rhythm player and a quick learner, but don't need to be an expert. We have a lot of songs written and more coming down the pipe. Although we have a song writer, we are totaly open to ideas from every member of the band.

I've posted a few ads on here before attempting to get something together. Unfortunately, life circumstances demanded my attention and I was not able to devote any attention to music. However, it has all subsided and I'm ready to get back into the scene. So here is what I'm looking for:

I am wanting to do some coffeehouse type gigs with either a keyboard player or a guitarist. I'm not going to accept a gig that is unpaid (unless its great tips or great exposure), and if for some reason it's unpaid I will pay you at least $40-50 out of my own pocket...You'll at least get gas money and dinner or something. The set list would be a mixture of jazz standards, classic soul songs, classic & modern R&B, old blues songs, and a few modern pop songs that I can actually stand. Pop/Rock Band Seeks Vocalist

Hey so we are a pop/rock band and we need a singer!!! badly!!! We all ranging in age from 18 to 20 so around there works but age isnt too important, what is important is that we find a talented singer and lyricist. Right now our band consists of a guitarist a bassist and a drummer, we have been playing together since september and are quickly moving forward. We have two songs done(minus vocals of course) and one half finished. We are looking to record in late december to early january so be prepared to work. our influences include The Maine, A Rocket to the Moon, and The Summer Set, and we would like our vocalist to understand the genre so please dont inquire if youve never heard of these bands. We have a practice space and we practice mainly tuesday afternoons so we need someone who can be there for practice.

Hey there everybody,
My name is Cameron Herren and I am a musician currently studying Jazz theory and broadening my musical abilities.
I play quite a few instruments although my forte would be guitar.
I have been studying guitar for about 11 years now and have taken many private lessons over the years.

As far as genres go, I would love something jazzy and upbeat.
But I honestly will play almost anything.
I'm not partial to country but I'll suck it up if needed.
As far as rock goes I am a big tool fan. I'm very big into poly-rhythms and syncapated beats with multiple complex time signitures. Strangely enough though I cannot stand Technical Death Metal...has no melody/harmonic quality to me.

I'm an extremely fast learner. Give me a few songs to learn and I will have studied them up and down by the weeks end.
When I study a song I learn the rhythm and chord progressions, I learn the melody, I learn the key changes and best ways to improv over each section.
I would say my best feature as far as guitar goes would be improv.

My effect pedals are a bit low in numbers but I'll be working on that over the chrismas break. Yay sus pedal.

We are looking for a mature established drummer for a start up band. We are starting from scratch with this project. Heroes of Rejection is an up and coming band in the Dallas / Ft. Worth metroplex with a strong stage presence,
good live sound, and a fun attitude. Our music influences range based on each member of the band, but together
they blend creating an energetic live sound. These influences include a wide range of artists from the classic
rock bands of the 70�s and 80�s such as Ac/Dc and Aerosmith; to the alternative rock bands of the 90�s; and the
current rock bands heard today on the radio such as Nickelback, Alice in Chains, and Metallica.
All of our influences are high energy songs that the crowd can identify with and enjoy.

We are currently in search of promoters who can bring us some gigs around the DFW area. We are developing a good
fan-base and it should be beneficial for both parties financially and exposure-wise.
