This is a nice 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. 1981 sq ft. I have been renting out the extra bedrooms in this house for 4 1/2 years. I currently have two rooms for rent. The available rooms will share a bathroom and it is required that it always be clean and ready for guests.

Making other people clean up after you is just not cool. Your only scheduled chore would be to vacuum approx every other week and of course to clean up after yourself. The unit is two stories with a large multi-purpose room that we use for dining, computer desk, work desk, book shelves, piano, entry wardrobe, and sofa; that's in addition to all the plants spread around in there, so one might also call it a mini greenhouse (see picture). Downstairs there is also a half-bath, coin operated washer, drier, under-the-stairs storage room, breakfast nook, and kitchen (where we keep a bottled water dispenser). Out back there is a patio area where we tend a little container garden. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a single full bathroom. The room you would rent has a long balcony, a large closet with closet-maid organizer system, a wardrobe, a small desk, a twin bed with linens, a 31-in TV with DVD player, and a TV table.
The $400 per month also includes the cost of electricity, water, heat/air-conditioning, high-speed wireless internet (7 Mbps down, 768 Kbps up), and basic cable (we don't actually own a TV for ourselves, but there is a cable outlet in the room you would rent). You're also welcome to share our home phone with included unlimited long-distance anywhere in the US. We don't often use the phone except on Sundays. The washer and dryer is available for you, but it's coin operated: $1.75 per wash, dryer is free. The washer is a high-efficiency tumble variety.
In the kitchen area, the bottled-water is also available for your consumption. You would have two shelves in the fridge and two spaces on the door, basically half the fridge space. There would also be a cupboard with four shelves for you. We're kind of health-food freaks, so we almost never eat out. That means we cook at home every weekday between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM. We prepare breakfast and lunches in the mornings from 5:00 AM to about 6:00 AM. Those would be times we'd reserve the kitchen. You could use it any other time. We follow a vegan diet. We're always looking to share meals with others if you might be so inclined. We do on occasion find ourselves proselytizing the benefits of healthy eating, but we've lived with serious carnivores before. We get along just find with eaters of all types.
We're early-to-bed-early-to-rise types (bedtime is 9:00 PM; up at 5:00 AM). We can be quiet in the mornings, but we also desire quiet in the evenings. We prefer not to deal with frequent strangers in the house. We insist on the kitchen being clean at all times. The simple way to eliminate insect pest problems is to cut off their food supply. Rather than a chemical approach, if we just keep the kitchen clean, we never have pest problems. In fact, when we first moved in we thought the roach situation was going to need attention, but within two months of keeping the place clean, we haven't seen a single roach in the last 12 months. So this is to speak to our neat-freakish-ness. Just completely rinse your dishes and put them in the dishwasher immediately when finished and wash all pots, pans and knives; we'll get along fine.

The room you would rent has a long balcony, a large closet with closet-maid organizer system, a wardrobe, a small desk, a twin bed with linens, a 31-in TV with DVD player, and a TV table.
The $400 per month also includes the cost of electricity, water, heat/air-conditioning, high-speed wireless internet (7 Mbps down, 768 Kbps up), and basic cable (we don't actually own a TV for ourselves, but there is a cable outlet in the room you would rent). You're also welcome to share our home phone with included unlimited long-distance anywhere in the US. We don't often use the phone except on Sundays. The washer and dryer is available for you, but it's coin operated: $1.75 per wash, dryer is free. The washer is a high-efficiency tumble variety.
In the kitchen area, the bottled-water is also available for your consumption. You would have two shelves in the fridge and two spaces on the door, basically half the fridge space. There would also be a cupboard with four shelves for you. We're kind of health-food freaks, so we almost never eat out. That means we cook at home every weekday between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM. We prepare breakfast and lunches in the mornings from 5:00 AM to about 6:00 AM. Those would be times we'd reserve the kitchen. You could use it any other time. We follow a vegan diet. We're always looking to share meals with others if you might be so inclined. We do on occasion find ourselves proselytizing the benefits of healthy eating, but we've lived with serious carnivores before. We get along just find with eaters of all types.
We're early-to-bed-early-to-rise types (bedtime is 9:00 PM; up at 5:00 AM). We can be quiet in the mornings, but we also desire quiet in the evenings. We prefer not to deal with frequent strangers in the house. We insist on the kitchen being clean at all times. The simple way to eliminate insect pest problems is to cut off their food supply. Rather than a chemical approach, if we just keep the kitchen clean, we never have pest problems. In fact, when we first moved in we thought the roach situation was going to need attention, but within two months of keeping the place clean, we haven't seen a single roach in the last 12 months. So this is to speak to our neat-freakish-ness. Just completely rinse your dishes and put them in the dishwasher immediately when finished and wash all pots, pans and knives; we'll get along fine.

No drug users or alcoholics. Too many bad experiences with those. Some moderate drinking is fine, I like to enjoy a beer every now and then.
I'm male, 30, currently working. My roomate is female, but I don't have a gender preference for a roomate. I'd prefer someone close to my age, but if you're a college student I suppose that would be fine, as long as there's no crazy parties.
Rent is 385 a month per person (770 Total). It's a two-story apartment, both bedrooms are upstairs, they each measure 12x12 feet or so. Bills vary, in the summer (june, july) it can get as high as 100 to 150, during the winter it's as low as 25 dollars. The cost of rent here includes a gym membership and cable/internet, so you could say those are "free" (in reality they are just rolled into the cost of rent)
The apartment complex is off of Teasley, near the highway.
Pets are fine, as long as they don't bite too much or tear up my stuff. There is a pet deposit here at the apartments, I'm not sure how much it is, something like 300 dollars if you have a dog or a cat, less for things like birds or fish.
Roommates are 2 males and one female, don't have preference on a smoker or non smoker, easy to get along with and very accommodating. The only reason I am leaving this amazing apartment is because I'm transferring universities and unfortunately wont be staying in the city!
I will gladly pay your deposit to the complex, and rent through January. Move in at you're convenience anytime after December 20th. You could get settled in just in time for the spring semester.
