This position requires the ability to work with considerable independence and autonomy under the general direction of the Manager of Hosting Operations, including work from home and work in third party data centers. Professionalism, accountability and ethics in dealing with customers, co-workers and vendors/partners are required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience using the Gentran EDI software, preferably with the 810, 850, 852, 855 and 864 transactions and the X12, VICS and Tradacom standards. The candidate must also have 5 years of programming experience on the AS400 using CL and RPG. Knowledge of JDEdwards Oneworld, SQL, Trailblazer software are a plus.

DUTIES: Primary duties include responsibility for management of routers, switches, firewalls, VPN services, wireless access points, telecommunication equipment and services (telephone servers, telephone instruments, call center applications, call accounting system, voicemail, fax servers, voice and fiber optic cabling, telecommunication circuits, voice gateways, and related systems); maintaining accurate documentation of configuration and procedures; ensuring system security and data integrity; performing backups; and developing and implementing backup procedures to ensure high availability of network services. Employee maintains on-call status and carries a wireless phone at all times. The Network Manager is responsible for coordination and supervision of network related vendors and consultants hired by Denton County. Maintains a high level of responsive customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required for this position. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Completion of some technical college classes preferred. Minimum of five years of experience with designing, implementing, and administering advanced networks systems and telephone systems or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
REQUIREMENTS: Cisco and Microsoft certifications preferred. Experience with Cisco networking equipment, Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.x, Cisco Call Manager Express, Cisco Unity 7.x, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express 7.x, Open Text RightFax Server, T.38, Cisco VG224 and ATA voice gateways, and Microsoft Windows Server experience preferred. Three years of experience with PC software and PC repair. Must not have any Class B misdemeanor or higher convictions or deferred adjudications.
