Software Developer

Our ideal candidates should be creative problem-solvers with a desire to work on high profile projects, dedicated to professional and personal growth, and have a passion for helping customers achieve their goals. Candidates should have experience in Web technologies, such as: C#, SQL knowledge is a must.

Summary of duties/responsibilities

As a developer, you will analyze, learn, and support existing applications. This requires that you resolve support issues, fix application bugs, develop new features and develop new applications. You will also document application code and processes and provide unit test for your work. You will adhere to eduphoria! programming standards and follow best practices. You will troubleshoot and fix issues relating to web applications and IIS.

Summary of technical environment

Our technical environment currently includes the following:
• Web: Microsoft .Net 3.5, C#
• Database: MySQL Server
• AJAX: Anthem, Prototype, script.aculo.us
• IDE: Visual Studio 2008
• SCM: SourceGear Vault
• Bugs: Not allowed :)

Skills required

• Local to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Candidate must be able to work on premises. Telecommuting is NOT an option.
• Authorized to work in the US. Sponsorship is NOT an option.
• Ability to analyze projects and provide accurate estimates for design and implementation.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Ability to collaborate in teams.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Web technologies:
o C#, Java
o SQL Server, MySQL
o IIS6/7 and Windows 2003/2008 Server
o HTML/XHTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX
• Knowledge in OO programming methodologies.
• Knowledge of information architecture, usability, and visual design principles.
• Knowledge of W3C standards and best practices.
