Full time split shifts are approx. 6:30 am-10:30 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Mon.-Fri., ending times may vary and some Sat. required.
Must be at least 21 yrs of age & have valid TX Drivers License. A clean driving record, that would include no more than one moving violation for past three years, no at fault accidents for the past three years and no DWI/DUI for the past seven years. LSO has a zero-tolerance drug policy & conducts a thorough criminal background check.
Average driver pay for our fleet is $1000 per week
You will drive a Volvo 670 - 13 or 9 speed - 3 years old or newer - trucks are governed at 65 mph. We have APU units on most trucks - Freight is dry van, 80% drop and hook - we have a rider policy and pet policy as well
Most drivers will fly or drive a rent a car to orientation
We are looking for good, experienced drivers. Drivers must meet the following criteria with no exceptions:
1. 8 months of OTR experience within the last 12 months
2. 2 years of OTR within the past 3 years (We consider OTR to be running 10 states and sleeping in the truck five nights per week - we will not count local or line haul experience for this position)
(We do have some positions for drivers with at least 6 months OTR experience within the last year as well)
3. No more than 3 moving violations within the past 36 months and no more than 2 in the past 12 months
4. No major chargeable accidenst within the past 36 months
5. No more than 3 chargeable incidents in the past 36 months and no more than 2 in the past 12 months
6. A combination of 3 incidents/ moving violations in three years total is acceptable - we can't hire with 4 total incidents/moving violations
7. No careless, reckless, unsafe lane change, following too close, or 15 mph over tickets in the past 3 years
8. No felonies ever
9. No DWI's in the past 5 years
10. No drug related misdemeanors ever
11. Must have hazmat or be willing to get hazmat in 60 days
