Responsible for design and support of the Best Friends campus Fiber Optic and Ethernet computer data network including Cisco VoIP telephony system. This position will be responsible for the daily maintenance, upgrade and administration of the existing network infrastructure for the campus network, including all Fiber, Ethernet and Wireless infrastructure. Will work on projects, as assigned, to integrate new systems into, as well as update and enhance, the existing network infrastructure.  <br>

Essential Duties:<br>
  Supports the Ethernet and Fiber networks and attached devices to configure and control the network elements<br>
  Analyzes problems and recommends the best solutions or corrective actions  <br>
  Develops and maintains accurate network documentation<br>
  Performs routine system operations and diagnostic tests to identify and isolate system fault<br>
  Participates in the maintenance and support for entire infrastructure <br>
  Performs system software and hardware installations, upgrades to production and development network infrastructure as directed by the department manager or supervisor<br>
  Assists in the engineering, planning and coordination of campus network<br>
  Responsible for providing support and architectural design for VoIP telephony infrastructure<br>
<br>
Experience / Skill Requirements:<br>
  Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Internet firewalls including Cisco ASA<br>
  Cisco CCNA/CCNP Certification a plus or equivalent knowledge and experience with Cisco routers and switches or similar networking equipment<br>
  Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, applications and services - Server, Workstation, SQL, ISA, Active Directory, DNS, etc) <br>
  Experience with Cisco VoIP telephony, including Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity<br>
  Outstanding communication and initiative<br>
  Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills<br>
  Valid Drivers License with access to transportation <br>

A fully qualified technician, the Systems Repair Technician applies a broad working knowledge of electronics to a wide variety of assignments through the application of technical concepts, practices and procedures. The incumbent generally is a member of quick-response customer support team and works on moderately complex work orders with normal to critical deadlines, and typically operates independently to troubleshoot hardware/software equipment problems, and to set up, install, configure, maintain, relocate, and/or repair a variety of electronic computing and communications equipment, software and/or peripherals. Works with general oversight on more complex assignments. <br>

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br>
 Troubleshoots hardware, software and/or network operating problems. Uses basic and specialized test equipment to diagnose and analyze difficulties. <br>
 Performs component-level preventive hardware maintenance, replacement and repair (to sub-assembly/ component level) of computer terminals, microprocessor components, peripherals and associated/designated communications and information management equipment. May build or fabricate equipment/parts as necessary. <br>
 Sets up, assembles, installs, configures, reconfigures, modifies, moves and/or relocates hardware at client site for regular or special function use. Ensures upgrades are configured and installed on schedule. Uses standard hand and power tools and technical manuals. May work with multiple vendors, manufacturers, etc. <br>
 Maintains work order documentation, technical schematics and diagrams. <br>

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED<br>
 Vocational, trade school, technical training or an associate degree in electrical electronics technology, or equivalent work experience. Associate degree preferred. A+ certification required.<br>
 Minimum 5-7 years progressively responsible experience, demonstrating in-depth working familiarity with a broad range of electronic equipment, including most vendors and a minimum of 3 years of mastery of a specialized technical area. <br>
 Ability to perform bench maintenance and repair to sub-assembly/component level and to use a variety of specialized test equipment and associated diagnostic devices. (Specifics are defined/may vary by applicable end-user area.) <br>
 Strong demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills. <br>
 Extensive PC literacy. <br>
 Good customer service orientation and appreciation of role as M&A representative. <br>
 Maturity of judgment under pressure/ability to diagnose level of user need/distribute work effectively. <br>
 Considerable client and end-user interface by phone and/or in-person necessitates good (clear) verbal communication skills and credible customer presence (appearance, attitude & demeanor). <br>

Position Description <br>

The Support Specialist provides superior technical support and assistance to customers with Interface Peoples applications and interface software solutions. The Support Specialist will also take ownership of assigned issues as single point of contact for our customers and is responsible for issues from assignment through to resolution. <br>

Primary responsibilities will include: <br>

1. Act as single point of contact for customer technical support issues. <br>

2. Research and resolve all technical support issues received from customers. <br>

This position requires the following skills and experience:<br>
	Academic: Bachelors in IT or MIS, industry experience will be considered in place of formal education<br>
	3  5+ years experience with network, server platforms, storage, mail systems, and backup configuration, support, and administration roles<br>

<description><![CDATA[Our company has been awarded a nationwide contract to perform a simple technical procedure to Thousands of Medical Devices located in Hospitals, Clinics, and various other Medical Facilities. We are seeking experienced and recent Bio-Med Tech grads to work in and around the larger Metro Regions. For example, if you are retained to work in DALLAS, that may include coverage of a 100 mile radius. <br>
<br>
The task itself is relatively simple but requires a resource that understands the challenges and is trained to work in a medical environment.  The position will be as an Independent Contractor as the project is temporary. It is expected that the project will last between 9-12 months. Each resource will be paid by the hour and we will also reimburse for any authorized travel expenses.<br>
The equipment required to perform the tasks will be company provided and assigned to each Tech. Here are the expectations we have for qualified candidates:<br>

<br>
~ Must have some qualified and verifiable experience as a Bio-Med Technician.<br>
~ Must be available to start within 2-4 weeks.<br>
~ Must be bondable, able to pass a comprehensive background check including criminal, and drug. <br>
    (If you can't pass, we respectfully suggest you do not waste your time as no exceptions will be made.)<br>
~ Must be comfortable working in a hospital or medical environment.<br>
~ Must be well groomed and present a professional appearance.<br>
~ Must be extremely responsible and represent our company and our customer professionally.<br>
~ Must possess good communication skills and good organizational skills.<br>
~ Must be prompt and reliable.<br>
~ Must be able to follow instructions.<br>
~ Must be able to work efficiently to accomplish our daily work flow goals.<br>
~ Must have experience testing using an "Electrical Safety Analyzer".<br>
~ Must have your own reliable transportation and carry the appropriate automobile liability insurance. <br>
   (No exceptions on this point either). <br>
~ Experience working in a Hospital Environment is highly desirable.<br>
<br>
Acceptable candidates will go through a very short training program (on-line) to familiarize you on the project objectives, plan, and procedures. Once trained, our company will equip you with the required tools for the project. Candidates will then be dispatched to facilities within your assigned region to perform the required tasks (corrections and updates to existing medical equipment).  <br>
<br>
Assignments will be Monday through Friday and the facilities you are dispatched to could have several units to 1,500 units to be corrected. So, you may be dispatched at a specific location from 1 day to a couple of weeks. Techs will check in with us upon arrival each day and upon departure each day. Completion logs will also be kept and transmitted each day documenting progress. Candidates will work as part of a larger crew including some employees of the customer.<br>

 - Responsible for post job reporting  follow-up activities, root cause analysis, and financial information (hours spent, travel time, expenses, et cetera).<br>
- Responsible for preparing and distributing site reports for work done and reporting to customer, supervisor, and sales team project status and any required future activities. <br>
- Required to coordinate complex problems to resolution by utilizing various resources such as vendors; manufacturers; internal technicians/ engineers and documentation.<br>
- Provide required 1-line drawings & documentation to cabling department for implementation.<br>
- Meet with clients as needed to discuss progress of project.<br>
- Assist in identifying & developing in-house personnel to enhance the AV opportunities.<br>

Post Install Support <br>
- Responsible for onsite and remote (VPN, telephone, et cetera) troubleshooting and repair of issues.<br>

- Responsible for the accurate logging of all customer complaints and involving appropriate TFE staff. <br>

Design/Estimation<br>

For both first and second shift. (First Shift: 7:30 AM to 4 PM; Second Shift: 5 PM to 1:30 AM). These are temp to perm positions with a very stable company which offers great benefits. Pay $16.00-$18.00/HR depending on experience. Must be able to troubleshoot RF and Digital Circuits to component level. Needs to be heavily experienced with Surface Mount Technology and RF frequencies 20 mhz to 4 Gig. Able to work on parts as small as '0402' in size. Needs to be able to work in a fast paced production test environment with minimum supervision. Prior military experience in electronics is a plus. Associate Degree in Electronics or Equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience required.<br>
