This is a 1999 Trek 820 in the largest size available, 24” frame. Trek measured these from the center of the bottom bracket to the very top of the extended seatpost. If measured to the center of the top tube it would be called about a 22.5” frame. If you ride a 59 to 63cm road bike, this is the size for you. You also know larger chromoly mountain bikes of this vintage are harder to come by. And this one is in great shape. The paint really pops.
This would make a great commuter bike, or the basis of an awesome gravel or bikepacking build. It’s a really awesome find.
I have included a page from the trek catalogue so you can see what trek had to say.
You want this bike. You need this bike. Never know if one comes along again; especially in this size. And yes steel is real.
Will meet at Starbucks, corner of skillman and Walnut hill. 7190 Skillman St, Dallas, TX 75231. Cash only.
If you see this listing, it is available and I won’t respond to “is this available?” questions.
