Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Learning Program Specialist to join our Learning Team.

What you'll do:

Learning Design/Development
Create, edit, standardize Job Instructions, this can include editing materials prepared by other writers and Leaders
Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
Interview Subject Matter Experts, Operation leaders, engineering Team Member, and conduct research to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
Support leadership development as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Exempt Leader On-boarding
Ongoing execution of on-boarding plans for Supervisor and above based on business needs
Coordinator Travel for first 3-4 weeks for Director and above, as well as leaders for launch building training in another Fulfillment Center (FC)
Organize on-boarding plans for launch buildings
Issue Pcard requests for Directors and above
Announce leaders to network as needed
1:1 meeting requests for Directors and above throughout their first 3-4 weeks based on individual plan
Manage and evaluate the execution of the leader on-boarding process, send and track surveys weekly, compile data
Provide visibility to the health of the program
Correlate feedback from new hires and FC leaders that support the program to recommend network changes
Support development of leader on-boarding materials in partnership with Learning Program Manager and Regional Learning Manager
Handle any issues that are escalated from the new hire
What you'll need:

Excellent communication skills and ability to foster strong relationships across levels of organization and across distance
Examples of technical writing completed in previous experience
Impeccable attention to detail, particularly with written communications
Instructional design experience
Exceptional organizational skills that allow you to work under strict deadlines and quickly prioritize tasks
Ability to work as a member of both formal and informal teams, pitching in on whatever needs to be done to accomplish the team’s larger mission
A willingness to go the extra mile to kick start new hire success
Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment
Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on total customer satisfaction
Excellent verbal communications skills
Ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects with tight deadlines
Ability to stand for extended period of time
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
Proficiency in computer usage, email, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Outlook)
Able to work flexible schedules / shifts as needed

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Adobe software experience
Prior experience working in training, or communications related role
Understanding of fulfillment/distribution center/warehouse processes and flow
Well-developed organization and analytical skills
Proven skills for planning daily/weekly tasks and adapting to competing demands
