Are you an individual that has been clinically diagnosed (i.e. diagnosed by a mental health professional) with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder? Are you between the ages of 18-50?
The Social Cognition Laboratory at The University of Texas at Dallas is looking for individuals who have been diagnosed with a schizophrenia spectrum illness or bipolar disorder to participate in a study on self-awareness.
The study will involve two visits about a month apart and completion of daily surveys during the month between visits. Participants will have the chance to be paid a maximum of $200 total.
At the study visits, we will ask you about your history and have you perform various tasks and tell us whether you think you responded correctly (for example, answering questions about pictures of people).
We will not ask you to change medications or any part of your treatment.
