The chairs have a solid steel plate base with metal parts here and there. They are upholstered in a light tan colored vinyl fabric. These are electronic and have buttons to adjust the height from 13" to 27" tall and adjust the back. There are covers to hide the electronics at the bottom. The headrests can also adjust. The arms also slide back to get on and off easier. The upholstery is in really good condition. They have been tested and work well.
