These chairs made mostly of gray colored steel while the tops are made of black painted polypropylene(hard plastic). The chairs have a 12.5" top with manually adjustable legs allow them sit from 19" to 27" high. That should allow these to be used under standard and tall lab style tables. You can somewhat stack these for easier transportation and storage. These stools will vary in condition but overall, they are in really decent shape with just some minor cosmetic wear to the metal.
