I am offering 12 rare chicken hatching eggs at a very discounted price for a fall/winter sale; here is your opportunity to hatch some rare chicks for yourself. Fall/winter is an excellent time to hatch chicks, that way you will have fresh eggs for this coming spring! These eggs will be less than 3 or 4 days old before selling, so the eggs will be fresh.
I am only selling these eggs as an assortment of different eggs. If you are looking for some really nice chickens, here is your opportunity to get some eggs. My birds are all from superior quality bloodlines. The eggs are from full-blooded birds, they are all housed separately by breed, I have 16 different pens. Most of my birds are directly purchased from Greenfire Farms.
The chicken eggs will be sold as an assortment only; you CAN NOT pick and choose which breeds you want. Depending on what my hens lay, will determine which eggs will be included in this assortment. The eggs included in these assortments could be from the following chickens:
BLACK COPPER MARANS: These rare show quality birds are feathered legged, and APA recognized. These birds were purchased directly from the Greenfire Farms APA recognized flock and Greenfire Farms French National Egg Champion lines. The birds are excellent dark brown egg layers. This cross should produce some really nice dark layers and exhibition quality chicks.
DEATHLAYER (GOLDEN): Deathlayers, aka Westfalische Totleger, is an ancient German variety of chicken. A translation of its German name Totleger, means "death layer". Gold Deathlayer chickens were first imported into the US in 2019 from Germany and are rumored to lay eggs until the day they die! The history of this stunning breed goes back more than 400 years. Originating in Germany, this rare chicken is a master at producing large quantities of medium to large size bright white eggs. Stock was directly purchased from Greenfire Farms.
BLUE ISBARS: These beautiful exotic birds and are extremely rare. The Blue Isbars were developed in the 1950s by the Catholic monk, Martin Silverudd, in Sweden. They are a single combed green egg layer that was are a very productive breed. My stock was purchased directly from Greenfire Farms from their newly imported stock.
The hens are excellent layers and lay beautiful speckled, olive, mint, or mossy green eggs. The chicks will hatch blue, black, or splash.
CRESTED CREAM LEGBARS: These rare birds that have a spiky feather crest. This stock was purchased directly from Greenfire Farms and consist of their Jill Rees stock. The chicks are an auto-sexing bird. Male chicks will have a white spot behind their heads and female chicks will have well-defined "chipmunk" stripes on their face and on their backs. The hens lay sky-blue eggs.
WHEATEN MARANS:
My lines are from Bev. Davis, Buddy Henry, Ron Presley, Dave Williams, Bob Terwilliger, Ralph Webb, Wade Jeane, and Justin Long. They are all feathered legged, and hens lay dark brown eggs. I do have a Blue Wheaten rooster, so some of the chicks will hatch as Blue Wheaten Marans.
WHITING TRUE BLUES: These birds are a relatively new chicken breed developed to lay a consistently blue egg. Dr. Tom Whiting spent over a decade crossing White Leghorn chickens and Ameraucanas to create an adored breed that has now been around since the 1990, these birds have one distinct feature being its beautiful blue eggs! These birds are heat tolerant, has a good disposition and come in a variety of feather colors and patterns. The eggs start out as medium size, they quickly will progress to a nice large size. Whiting True Blues generally, begin laying a little earlier around 5 months of age. Their feed to egg conversion is higher than most breeds. This means that they eat less feed in turn lower costs for you. Lower feed costs, beautiful colored eggs, consistent layers, great foragers.
