1990s ALPACA Silver Inlaid Turquoise Sodalite Vintage 17” Necklace - $45 (N. Garland)

This stunning vintage necklace features a beautiful combination of inlay turquoise and sodalite stones. Each bob is slightly curved. The necklace measures 17 inches in length and has a secure hook closure.
This necklace is stamped Alpaca on the hook, Alpaca Silver is an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc. Sometimes called Nickel Silver or German Silver, the usual formulation is 60% copper, 20% nickel and 20% zinc. It polishes to a bright silver finish and is more durable and easier to work with than silver.
Bought in Cozumel, Mexico in the early 1990s, rarely worn (twice?) Wonderful geometric modern design on this vintage piece.
