Due to continued expansion in the US , GlobalStep is looking for Localization QA Testers. You will be part of a growing testing team providing technology services to our global customer base.
As a tester, you’ll be responsible for:
Working on internationally released video games used by millions of players worldwide.
Ensuring the quality of video game and related software translations, checking the quality of the language used in various texts and audio files on different media.
Providing a comprehensive localization test for subtitles, localized audio files, scripted text, and more.
Reporting any type of error in spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation, and/or translation quality, inconsistency, incorrect terminology into our database. You will suggest appropriate corrections and improvements, to improve the quality of service that is requested by the client.
Ensuring that the content is well adapted to the (Spanish, French, Chinese, Korean, German, Turkish, Polish, Italian, or Japanese) language, culture and market.
You’ll receive hands-on training and have opportunities to grow within our QA and localization teams.
What Will Help You Succeed in This Role:
Must be native or fluent in one of the listed languages (spoken and written)
You understand the culture and everyday usage of the language
You have a good command of written, spoken and reading English
You’re comfortable reviewing text and identifying spelling, grammar, or phrasing issues
You can work independently and collaborate with others when needed
You are familiar with (if you know how to use it even better!) computer tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Google Drive and JIRA
Experience in localization, QA, or translation is a plus, but not required.
