Job Summary:
The Home Walker is responsible for visiting assigned properties to perform quality checks, ensure homes are guest-ready, document property conditions, and assist with light upkeep as needed. Inspect for maintenance issues, verify condition standards, and ensure homes remain in good order. This role plays a key part in maintaining the company’s high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct scheduled walkthroughs of assigned residential homes to assess overall property condition, both interior and exterior.
Conduct routine walkthroughs of assigned homes to verify that each property is guest-ready.
Check for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and overall presentation (lighting, linens, décor, etc.).
Restock essential guest supplies as directed (toiletries, paper products, kitchen items).
Report and document any damages, missing items, or irregularities through company systems (including photos and notes).
Ensure exterior areas (porches, driveways, yards) are neat and free of debris.
Perform light cleaning or touch-ups when needed to maintain standards between professional cleanings.
Communicate with the Property Management team about urgent issues, vendor access, or guest concerns.
Occasionally meet vendors or contractors on-site to provide property access or confirm completed work.
Maintain company-issued supplies and report inventory needs promptly.
Check for maintenance concerns such as leaks, odors, HVAC issues, pest activity, safety hazards, or general wear and tear.
Verify that all systems (lights, plumbing fixtures, appliances) are functioning properly.
Document findings with detailed notes and photos; submit reports promptly to the Property Manager or Maintenance Coordinator.
Ensure homes are secure — checking locks, windows, alarms, and exterior gates.
Oversee light upkeep tasks such as replacing filters, light bulbs, or batteries as needed.
Monitor landscaping, pool, and exterior cleanliness, reporting vendor or service issues as necessary.
Meet and provide access to maintenance vendors or inspectors when scheduled.
Maintain accurate records of visits, including time, date, and observations.
Support move-in/move-out inspections and assist in ensuring homes meet company standards prior to occupancy.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and reliability.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties efficiently.
Comfortable using mobile apps or systems for reporting.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Prior experience in property management, maintenance support, or facilities inspection preferred.
Highschool diploma
MUST be able to pass background check
Flexible work schedule, to include weekends
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, and perform light physical tasks.
Lift or move up to 25 lbs occasionally (filters, light equipment, small supplies).
