Are you an individual that has been clinically diagnosed (i.e. diagnosed by a mental health professional) with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, or major depressive disorder? Are you between the ages of 18-65?
The Social Cognition Laboratory at The University of Texas at Dallas is looking for individuals who have been diagnosed with a schizophrenia spectrum illness, bipolar disorder, or depression to participate in paid research studies.
These studies vary in length: shorter studies will require two lab visits, while our longest study involves six lab visits that occur over the course of a year.
At the study visits, we will ask you about your history and have you perform various paper and pencil and computerized tasks. These visits may be brief, but most last between 2 and 3.5 hours. Between visits, we may also ask you to complete a number of surveys via phone.
Depending on which study you enroll in, you can earn between $100 and $300 total.
None of our studies are treatment studies, so you will be not be receiving any type of medication or therapy, and you will not be asked to change your current medications or treatment.
If you are interested, please click on the link below to provide us with general contact information. One of our research associates will contact you to discuss the details of each study and to determine eligibility. Participating in one study will not stop you from participating in others.
