This is a very old violin with two labels, one inside each f-hole. The first says:
Bremen Anno 1929"
The second says:
"Copy of Antonius Stradivarius
Made in Germany"
I don't know if the labels are accurate, but this is clearly an old violin.
It has a beautiful one-piece back with nice flaming on sides as well. A very well-carved scroll. It is in very good condition considering its age with just the usual wear and tear.
The violin has a lot of volume and a resonate and responsive tone. Come and try it for yourself!
I think that $1200 is an excellent price for this instrument when you consider the retail market for violins. A student violin in this price range would be half the quality of this violin. However, I am open to offers.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
If you would like to see it, I would prefer that it be in my home or in a public area during the day.
