Here's a super cool 1956 Fender 5E6 Bassman Amp!
This 4-10" narrow panel amp was recovered in brown material in the early 60's.
It was very common for Fender tweeds to be painted or recovered to color match later tolex amp colors.
The 5E6 4x10 Bassman was similar in many ways to the Pro, Super, Bandmaster, and Twin amps, although a middle control was added to its tone stack, and it had a long-tailed-pair phase inverter, a more high-fidelity network that distorted less.
All have superb tone!
