Hi everyone! My name's Josh. I'm a UT-Austin grad with a BS in Pure Mathematics for the class of 2011. When I earned that degree, I got basically qualified to teach high school math in Texas high schools. I did student teaching at Austin ISD schools. My extra education was something called the UTeach program that I participated in while working on the math degree at UT. It's basically like studying your primary major/subject of interest, earning a double major in education, doing student teaching and the like. I've also taken lots of community college classes, been an excellent student since high school, and if you want a resume to look at, be my guest. Most of my tutoring students I've met online. I'll charge you what I charged them, which is $15-20/hour because I'm experienced, able to give results, and I'm humble (face it, there are tutors wanting $50/hr.). I've had jobs as a math tutor at Dallas Community Colleges, and they turned out great. I'm a brilliant explainer of math (talk to me about what level you're looking for), and I just need you to bring me scratch paper/notebooks for doing work on, pens (I don't like pencils), binders and so on (for you), and your textbook and all info on the course you're taking, and my pay. I have epileptic seizures and stuff that prevents me from steady work, a car to drive, etc. So if you want my service, please come to my house. I'll give you the address. Please call me. show contact info
This other paragraph is "same guy/different service". I was a number theory geek. I loved "the gay science." My number theory prof was trained at Princeton, and I got an A in his class. I'd like to study more of it on my own, maybe like "good will hunting", but a partner who can just tell me what they know, and we study together would be great. Just acknowledge that with a partner (this involves no money), the math is more fun!
