Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager / Scrum Master to manage software development projects for internal platforms and client-facing solutions. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable driving tasks, timelines, sprint execution, and team accountability.
The ideal candidate has hands-on software project management experience, understands Scrum and sprint-based delivery, and can work closely with developers, data teams, QA, business stakeholders, and leadership to keep projects moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage software projects from planning through delivery.
- Own project schedules, task tracking, sprint planning, and follow-through.
- Lead Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain tracking boards, including backlogs, user stories, tasks, bugs, sprint status, priorities, dependencies, and reporting.
- Work with developers, data analysts, QA, and business stakeholders to define requirements and priorities.
- Track deliverables, deadlines, blockers, risks, and open questions.
- Ensure tasks are clearly assigned, documented, and completed.
- Coordinate release readiness, deployment status, QA progress, and stakeholder communication.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable software development tasks.
- Provide leadership with clear project updates and drive accountability across the team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in software project management.
- Strong understanding of software development workflows and project lifecycles.
- Working knowledge of project management tools.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, sprints, backlogs, user stories, and task tracking.
- Experience working with developers, QA teams, data teams, and business users.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, data-driven software environment.
- Must be local to the Dallas, Texas area and able to work in office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master certification preferred.
- Experience with Azure DevOps / Azure Pipelines.
- Experience with data platforms, data processing, data hygiene, SaaS platforms, APIs, dashboards, or internal business software.
- Automotive industry knowledge or experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with dealership operations, automotive marketing, DMS/CRM systems, service and sales data, or customer lifecycle data is a plus.

Work Environment
This is an in-office role based in Dallas, Texas. The Software Project Manager will work closely with leadership, development, data, and operations teams to ensure software projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
