Compensation:
• Journeyman: $40-$42+/hr (DOE) + performance bonuses.
• Apprentice: $28-$32/hr (DOE) + rapid advancement.
• Company Vehicle provided for long trips.
• Gas cards provided
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician with hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of modern energy storage and smart home power systems. You will install, commission, and troubleshoot high-end solar + battery projects for residential customers.
This is a rare opportunity to work exclusively with premium equipment and grow quickly in the fastest-growing segment of the electrical trades.
Key Equipment You’ll Work With:
• Tesla Powerwall batteries and inverters (Powerwall 2, 3, and Gateway systems)
• SolarEdge inverters and optimizers
• FranklinWH batteries and aPower systems
• Span Smart Electrical Panels and Span Drive systems
Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and commission Tesla, Franklin, SolarEdge, and Span equipment per manufacturer guidelines and NEC standards
• Perform rough-in and trim-out, and complete final commissioning & testing
• Integrate battery systems with existing solar arrays and home loads
• Troubleshoot communication issues, firmware updates, and system performance
• Provide excellent customer education on system operation and app usage
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site
• Mentor apprentices (for Journeyman level)
Required Qualifications
• Current Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician license (or ability to obtain reciprocity)
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation
• Strong understanding of NEC Articles 690, 705, and 706 (Solar PV and Energy Storage)
• Demonstrated experience or training on at least two of the following: Tesla Powerwall, SolarEdge, FranklinWH, Span Panel.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines, equipment manuals, and site plans.
• Comfortable working on roofs, in attics, and crawl spaces.
Preferred (Big Plus)
• NABCEP certification (PV or Battery)
• Prior Tesla, SolarEdge, or Franklin factory training / certification.
• Experience with whole-home backup, load shedding, and smart panel programming.
• Spanish-speaking a plus.
