Just imagine - you and your ski buddy in this picture, ankle-deep in fresh powder, making those fresh tracks, awesome clear blue skies overhead, heading down the trails and slopes of Ski Apache. It could easily be you.

Check out the action live, via web cam, at www.skiapache.com. Loads of mountain information is here, plus, you can also sign up for their newsletter at this website.

Ski Apache is noted for being the southern-most ski area in the United States, and is located just outside of Ruidoso, New Mexico. Snowfall is later in the year than the northern ski areas of the country.

Price shown is the total price for the full week of accommodations - 7 nights. There is no cleaning fee, no tax, no add-ons, no utilities, no surcharges. There IS a security damage deposit at the condo complex which is required at check-in however, but that deposit can be returned after the end of your week. A government issued id with proof of age (21+) is required at check in.

The snow base at Ski Apache is already looking good so far this season with a 60" base (that's as of Jan 2, it was 32" as of 12/29, and it's plenty early in their season so the white stuff is piling on). And that typically continues to improve, but can't guarantee the weather. Typically, this part of the US gets the majority of their snow blanket late in January and February.

The alpine peak of Sierra Blanca soars to over 12,000 feet. The elevation at the Gazebo, "The Top", is 11,500 feet. Positioned geographically to have the best skiing weather in North America. Average annual snowfall over 15 feet! 55 runs and trails - 20% Expert, 60% Intermediate, 20% Beginner. 11 lifts including New Mexico's only passenger Gondola to the top - the Gazebo. Enhanced snow-making all the way to the top. Free lift ticket with beginner group lessons. All day ski instruction programs are available. The vertical drop is 1,900 feet. There are over 750 acres that are open to skiing. Rental ski gear is readily available on the mountain or in town, but it's usually cheaper to rent in town.

We are offering our 2019 spring break week (Mar 8 - Mar 15 -- confirm these dates match YOUR school district spring break week dates - not all school districts are on the same calendar) in this listing. Dallas Independent School District (DISD) schools ARE on this schedule as are several other local districts.

The resort itself is located atop Camelot Mountain overlooking the Village of Ruidoso and the towering majesty of the 12,005′ Sierra Blanca Mountain.

This is NOT a membership sales pitch listing. There is no meeting to attend during the week offered, no fancy presentation, no sales pitch, nada - no unit sales or timeshare sales at the complex are available - even if you wanted to buy in. There is no sales staff. The resort is fully owned with very little owner turnover. This is a sale of our privately owned current year's week, offered by us, the owners of that week. Our ownership/membership is not for sale. Only the specific week stated is being offered.

This vacation week will start Friday, March 8, 2019 and end Friday, March 15, 2019. Dates can not be modified. Please confirm that your school district spring break dates match these dates if you're planning on taking school age kiddos. Not all school districts have the same break schedule.

Activities in the immediate and surrounding areas include both skiing and non-skiing, abound for all age groups, and all activity levels. You can go snow skiing (or take classes - even for kindergartners), snow boarding (classes also available), a zip-line experience (up to 65 MPH and taking up to 90 minutes - one of the world's longest at 8,890 feet of awesome - that's more than a mile and a half), antique stores, specialty boutiques, gambling at the Indian reservation or other sites, great eating, shopping, historical area touring, visiting the alien museum in Roswell, check out the Flying "J" Ranch, take a day trip to historic Santa Fe, or take a side trip one day to White Sands. All these activities are relatively close and all are usually available during the week we are offering.

The Adventure Center at Ski Apache offers a full day of fun activities for the young skiers between the ages of 4 and 12 years old. Young skiers are grouped by age, so a 5 year old won't be in a group with 10 year olds, etc. Indoor and outdoor activities are available to ensure the children's safety and comfort. Their experienced staff will keep children entertained and help them become the next generation of great skiers. FYI - Reservations are required at the Adventure Center on weekends and holidays. Mom and Dad can ski on their own without having any worries or concerns about the kiddos being properly supervised.

Travel time from the condo to the ski area is usually about 45 minutes.

Visit the Ruidoso Chamber of Commerce web site to check out all the other great things to do while in Ruidoso. You will not have the time to be able to see and do everything that is available in the area, during the week you are there.

We have our 3 bedroom, 2 bath fully furnished condo week available for your family's next memory-making vacation. We've owned this specific week for almost 30 years and have a ton of wonderful family memories that were made during those trips.

This condo sleeps 8, with many amenities. This unit has approximately 1200 square feet of living area. Condo has 2 private decks, one deck off main living area, with another private deck off the master bedroom.

Our spring break week starts at 4pm on Friday and ends at 10am the following Friday. This is 7 nights in a 3 bedroom/2 full bath condo which has a completely equipped kitchen. The condo is comfortably equipped and features a pressed-log burning fireplace. Firelogs are conveniently available at the office or stores in town. There is a sleeper sofa also - a maximum of 8 people can be accommodated in this unit. No pets, other than service animals, are allowed. The unit is a 2 level, so there are steps both inside and outside of the unit.

To see more about the condo complex, visit www.crownpointcondos.NET (not .COM) or visit Crown Point Condominiums on Facebook. Check out all the amenities offered by the resort. Normal 3-bedroom rates at Crown Point during this time frame would be $1,435.02. We are offering the exact same full week for about half of that, no tax or other add-ons. Split that between 3 or 4 couples (the condo unit will sleep up to 8) -- that makes for some real inexpensive lodging for an entire week. Then, consider that you can shop for food at the nearby Wal-Mart (other grocery stores are available also) and cook meals at the condo if you want to - that cuts food expenses down to what you would pay at home. Pack a cooler with some sandwich meat, bread, condiments, fruit, and drinks for tailgating on those days you spend on the mountain, or you can grab some fast food right on the slopes in between your ski runs.

The resort offers an indoor heated pool and a separate Jacuzzi (really great for the muscles after a beautiful day on the slopes), flat-screen TV with cable tv, two lighted tennis courts, racquetball court, basketball area, exercise room, and pool table. The resort is located at an altitude of 6500'. Keep that in mind if anyone in the group has breathing difficulties and check with your doctor for this being an appropriate vacation for you if in doubt.

FREE Internet Service is available that allows guests to access the internet using their laptops through a WIFI wireless connection (there is also a computer available for guest use, simply request the access password from the front desk). Printing and faxing services are also available at the office.

The condo provides all utensils, cups, glasses, and dishes (full service for 8), linens, cookware, DVD player and telephone.

We have Sprint phones and they work well in Ruidoso, it's immediate vicinity, and also the roads up to and including the ski area. No reception issues in the past.

Beautiful views of the mountain range from the condo (which itself is on Camelot mountain). Look down the mountain from either of the 2 private condo balconies (one off the living area, the other off the master bedroom) into Ruidoso.

Take advantage of all the area has to offer. Superb dining is available in the Ruidoso area ranging from French cuisine to Texas BBQ. There is also the usual assortment of fast food places if you want it quick. Downhill skiing and snow boarding area (visit www.skiapache.com - which has the live web cam, current weather, snow and weather forecast, trail map, and much more information on the ski area). Skilled artisans versed in many areas (hand-made arts & crafts, knick-knacks, painting, sculptures, art galleries, the Spencer Theater, etc.). Visit the Museum of the Horse. Tour the historical countryside - this part of the country is known as 'Billy the Kid' country. Gamble at Inn of the Mountain Gods (it's on the Mescalero Apache Indian reservation). They have live table games (craps, roulette, blackjack, a poker room), a multitude of slot machines, nice dining, and really friendly folks. Visit them for updated information at www.innofthemountaingods.com - an awesome place that's just a few miles from the condo. You can also hit one of their satellite casinos that is even closer to the condo (under 10 minutes travel time).

As you are going the last couple of miles up the mountain road to the condo, look around on both sides of the road. Don't be surprised if you see a herd of deer or other critters.

To see the floor plan of our specific unit, go to the Crown Point web site, visit the tab 'Accomodations', and look at floor layout #3 (of 4).

Take your family on a truly remarkable and memorable vacation this year. A vacation trip that you'll remember happily for years.

Reservations will be confirmed to YOUR satisfaction when we meet initially and yet again a few days before you depart. Total driving time for us is typically about 11 hours from Dallas. Total distance is right at 600 miles. We usually leave about 4am Friday, eat breakfast about 7am in Abilene, have lunch about noon (typically we are near Roswell then and there is a good Denney's). With the time change, we usually arrive about 2pm, unload the car, go for groceries, and then head back to the condo for some Jacuzzi/pool time. Typically, the front office will allow an earlier check in than 4, but 4 is the official start time.

We can't go this year due to other commitments we have. Our friends who usually take the condo when we don't go, also have other plans.

Remember to confirm the dates of your school's spring break.

I had one caller ask if we could split up the week - he only wanted 4 days. Can't do this - we won't split up the week. Sorry.

If you might be interested in actually buying our ownership week, owned forever, and it can pass on to your heirs, or be sold or rented out (by you or Crown Point - they do take a cut however), give me a shout, We can discuss that option. Annual dues are less than $750. The week never changes - it's always week 10 on the Crown Point calendar. And 95% of the time, it's exactly going to match spring break for many Texas area schools. That's the key reason we purchased this specific week - spring break when our youngsters were still in school.

Units are kept up nicely and HOA property finances are in great shape.
