Indmar Marine Engines is seeking an experienced Service Technician to provide field support to a manufacturer in Abilene, TX. This position serves as the liaison between Indmar and the OEM, assisting with engine installations and troubleshooting any production challenges. The Technician provides weekly reports to management noting all failures and quality issues. There is a small inventory of parts and equipment to maintain, including the responsibility of receiving and issuing parts. Some travel may be required. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and dependable with exceptional communication skills and the ability to create a good rapport with the customer.

Candidate should meet the following requirements:
1. High School graduate or GED.
2. Minimum of 3 years direct engine experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
3. Must have a mechanical background with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair engines.
4. Must provide personal tools necessary for repairs.
5. Technician should be able to safely rig or hook for lifting a part or component of an engine.
6. Ability to read and understand parts books, service manuals and electrical and schematics.
7. Must have basic computer skills.
8. Ability to communicate positively and effectively.
9. Must work with little supervision.

This is a full-time salaried position located in Abilene, TX. The work hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm. Hours outside of this schedule may be required and should be worked as needed. Starting annual salary will range from $45,000 - $50,000 based on knowledge and experience. All candidates offered a position with Indmar will be required to take a drug test and participate in a background screening.
