$10 for 12 duck eggs
Can meet for pickup in either Glen Rose, Granbury, Cleburne
Egg details: They are collected daily, examined and dated, stored unwashed & unrefrigerated. They are pasture raised [no pond=no mucky taste/smell], free range all day, eat layer pellets & scratch - no hormones, antibiotics, artificial lighting or nonsense. The eggs are for eating or hatching, I have males out with my females and hatch eggs almost year round.
Male ducks: Cayuga, Saxony, Crested
Females: Cayuga, Crested
Duckling colors possible: Black, Black/Blue/Silver Swedish. There is a chance you will get Crested ducklings.
These are medium/large sized ducks when fully grown that love to swim and forage, great for eating bugs in your yard without damaging plants. Cayugas are dual-purpose (eggs/meat), active and beautiful - lay gray or white eggs. Cresteds are great for eggs, are my most eye-catching and entertaining ducks. Saxonys are heavy bred ducks that lay large eggs and have a unique Blue mallard color pattern.
Males will be larger than females when grown - you can voice sex ducks at 8 weeks. Ducks begin laying at 5 months and will give you 150+eggs all year regardless of weather, for many years over chickens. They need water but no pond is necessary, a kiddie size wading pool works fine.
Occasionally I have turkey eggs as well. Turkey eggs are $2 each.
Message with offers or to see what I have on hand, it depends on if my hens are laying.
Barter with me if you have something to trade: plants, flowers, farm stuff, buckets, troughs, panels, chicken for the freezer, etc. No codes/apps/crypto/nonsense - if the ad is up they're available
**Allergy information: my ducks and turkeys are free range and we have cats on the property. This means they are regularly exposed to pollens (ragweed, juniper/cedar, grasses) and the proteins from cats. Eating the eggs exposed to these things might reduce allergies - this is what is in Purina LiveClear food ** If you have trouble digesting chicken eggs, these eggs are a great alternative plus healthier, larger and can be stored longer (this is the case with one of our household that can't tolerate chicken eggs, but duck eggs are fine - his favorite is actually turkey eggs, though)
