Incredible instrument out of the Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab. One of only 125 made! Bar none this is an incredibly limited release from Gibson. To top it off its also simply amazing to play. It gets all of Kirk Hammett's tones plus everything in between. What struck me initially about this guitar is how it sounds unplugged. It has a natural resonance that is a pleasure to play even without an amp. Of course, this translates into an incredible sound experience once plugged into any amp. The pickups sound amazing clean, slightly overdriven, or fully distorted. These models come with a single tone control because the other tone control functions as the piezo pickup’s volume; which can be blended with the humbuckers for all sorts of amazing tones. I've had most of the Murphy Lab line of Les Paul's and this guitar is the tops. It’s also unique because Murphy Lab Les Paul Customs with their aging are not super common. You will receive the guitar as I did when new, ordered from Guitar Center in Hollywood. All of the case candy is unopened and ready for you to enjoy.
