Many articles have been written about this famous man and his family in Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia and how his Bird Cages became world famous as both collectibles and tourist gifts. This beautiful bird cage was purchased in Tunisia in 1968 by a family member who was in the Peace Corps in Tunisia. The cage is in original perfect condition and measures 22 inches x 13 inches approximately. The tray in the bottom is removable and the 4 side compartments are for bird feed and water. The cage is authentic in design for actual use for birds but it is most appreciated as a beautiful art piece for decoration.
