The "Heroes" series is like having an itch that hurts so bad. You never can get enough, and you are left hungering for the next episode. The premise of people having unusual powers has been done to death. However, Tim Kring and his co-writers have revisited this idea - making the "heroes" both ordinary and unconventional: A small girl, able to locate the series' villain - Sylar, who is inexplicably in the care of Matt Parkman (another "hero"), a policeman and personal bodyguard; Peter Petrelli, an empathetic health care worker who is baffled but intrigued by his emerging powers; and the "cheerleader", a beautiful high school student who has to fit in with her peers as her parents move continuously to keep her safe.
