Gate legs means that the legs swing out 'like a gate' and support the leaves when opened to full size and swing in underneath the table when the leaves are drop down leaves.
There is a total of 6 legs. Four under the main part of the table and then two more are used when the table is open to full size. This creates a sturdier table and leaves.
The height is 29 inches
The top when closed is width 42 inches by 18 inches Great for areas that are small but sometimes need more tabletop.
When open the top is width 42 inches by 59 inches
Dining table or accent table. Has great and beautiful character.
In really good shape except that one hinge needs adjustment but it still works but delicate. This is shown in the last two pictures.
Could be used as sofa table or console table when closed because it is 18 inches wide. Then when you need more table top, it could be opened.
