Job Summary: The Shipping Clerk will coordinate activities of workers engaged in
verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for
shipment daily. They will establish and coordinate departmental activities to meet objectives
to coincide with company’s goals.
Prepares shipment documentation for shipments to customers/vendors.
Works on various shippers (Fed Ex, UPS, etc.) and customer websites/systems for
arranging pickup or posting shipments.
Responsibilities include:
Follow Safety Regulations and employee Handbook along with all
departmental specific requirements.
Input part data into computer for release to customers and maintain correct information and
traceability.
Monitors inventory in shipping and works with production planning to ensure parts are
shipped in a timely manner.
Prepares documentation for parts to customers.
Prepares invoices to customers and delivers to accounting department.
Prepares documentation for miscellaneous shipments.
Prepare bills of lading and air bills including customs paperwork.
Packs all small and large shipments.
Responsible for loading packages on and off of delivery trucks
Filing as required.
Mobile equipment certified preferred (walk behind pallet jack & forklift).
