Wh You’ll Be Doing
Develop short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans, including pit shell designs, stripping plans, waste development plans, and reclamion plans
Prepare geological models and perform resource and reserve estimions
Develop life-of-mine plans with phased development schedules, milestones, and cost inputs
Provide design parameters and volume calculions to support capital and acquisition projects
Collabore with regional management, geologists, project managers, and engineers to evalue mineral quantity and quality
Ensure mine plans align with regulory requirements, safety standards, and company objectives
Wh We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a reled field, with a minimum of 3 years of mine planning or mining engineering experience
Operional experience in mine or plant environments preferred, with the ability to apply planning concepts to real‑world operions
Professional Engineer (PE) registrion or ability to obtain within two years
Proficiency with mine planning and design software (e.g., Carlson/AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Surpac) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for calculions, volume analysis, and da visualizion
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management, communicion, and collaborion skills, with the ability to convey technical informion clearly
Working knowledge of mining regulions and safety standards
Work Environment
Primarily based in a corpore office setting with periodic travel to opering sites
Flexible hybrid work schedule
Site visits may involve exposure to moving equipment, uneven terrain, dust, noise, and varying weher conditions
Up to 20% travel within the United Stes
