Mille Bornes is a classic French card game where players race to be the first to travel 1,000 miles. Players build their "driving zone" by playing distance cards but must first play a green "Go" (or "Drive") card to start. Other players can hinder progress by playing red hazard cards, such as "Stop" or "Out of Gas". To overcome these hazards, players must play corresponding green remedy cards, like "Drive" or "Gas". The first player to reach 1,000 miles wins the current round, and the overall game is won by being the first to accumulate 5,000 points from multiple rounds.
