Accessories: 6 Collectible Casting Stones; two chipboard characters
The Powercaster Electronic Spell-Casting Playset was released in conjunction with The Sorcerer's Stone, first in the Harry Potter film series. Requiring 4 C batteries, it's really more of a game for two players than a playset.
The playset holds two figures which are recognized by the game as it announces their names and displays them on its screen. The figures used with the game come from the Wizard Collection in The Sorcerer's Stone figure series (which must be purchased separately). Accordingly, each figure in the series is packaged with a collectible casting stone intended for use with the Powercaster.
The playset announces the casting stone's spell as its placed on the playset. When a spell is cast, "sparks" appear to fly in mid-air on a light-up animation wand. The figure with the more powerful spell wins, while the losing figure is literally ejected from off the playset.
The box does not specify which chipboard characters come with the game. They are included to allow players to beging playing right away, presumably acting as surrogates for the player who doesn't own any Wizard Collection figures (yet).
