According to Al overview, this is a Maitreya laughing Buddha and the red light could be an offering or form of veneration. I do a lot of research so that I can tell people as much as possible about what I am selling, but sometimes it's impossible. I can not find anything close to this Buddha statue. All the statues I found, the praying beads were built in and I could not find one with the Lotus flower symbol on the back like this one.The wooden shrine has a red light directly above the statues head. It also has a wall plug, which puzzles me because I don't know anything about Buddhism. The statue is 16 x 14 x 13 inches and the wooden shrine is 27 x 18 x 15 inches.
