My female greenwing Macaw has free flight around my home. She was outside on Friday, February 18, and did not return. I believe someone picked her up, believing she was lost. She returns home every day by late afternoon, to sleep in the house, if she goes out flying. Her name is Miss Gatsby and she's will say "Gatsby, Gatsby, Gatsby". She knows her name very well and talks up a storm! She is extremely friendly, social and loves people and children. She flies around the acreage and will visit some of the local businesses near Hwy 380. I just found out today that she can fly 10 or 15 miles away and return home the same day, so she does travel.
She is highly intelligent and never caged. She has free roam of our house when inside. She is very spoiled. She loves to play chase and play different games with people as well as loving to be tickled. She loves to chew and makes no distinction between an expensive chair or a piece of wood. She has pulled the keys off several computer keyboards and thinks that's jolly fun to pop them off. She can clear a keyboard in less than a minute. She will also destroy car keys or anything metal as well as biting through power cords. She can create massive destruction in a matter of moments and that is part of the nature of macaws. She will continuously screech very loudly if she is caged since she never gets caged. She hates to be caged! I love her and want her back desperately.
I'm offering a reward leading to her recovery. She is micro-chipped and the number is 991001002418952. It is through SAVE A LIFE.
