Work Environment: Open-air warehouse environment (non-climate controlled; no air conditioning)
Schedule:
1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Position Summary:
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Operators/Assemblers to join our manufacturing team. This role involves mechanical assembly, cleanroom assembly, inspection, and troubleshooting of components and finished products while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Mechanical Assembly Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical, electromechanical, and pneumatic components and systems
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality requirements
- Perform assembly tasks at various stages of production
- Utilize scanners and other production tracking equipment
- Operate Electric Pallet Jacks (EPJs) or demonstrate a willingness to learn
- Safely and effectively use torque drills and other assembly tools
- Perform duties requiring manual labor, including lifting and moving materials as needed
- Read, understand, and complete work-related documentation in English
Cleanroom Assembly Responsibilities:
- Assemble fiber optic, PCB/circuit board, and other small electronic components in a cleanroom environment
- Identify assembly issues, component defects, and process concerns, and communicate them to the Team Leader
- Troubleshoot assembly and product issues down to the component level
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical specifications
- Verify dimensions and product features to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Use inspection equipment to identify contamination and quality concerns
- Follow established production processes and workflow requirements
- Adhere to quality standards, soldering specifications, and continuous improvement practices
- Maintain clear written and verbal communication in English
Qualifications:
- Experience in mechanical assembly, electronic assembly, cleanroom manufacturing, or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of fiber optics, PCB assembly, or small component assembly is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and in-lab drug screening
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks using hand and power tools
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment and/or cleanroom setting while following all safety procedures
